Hand picked from the most northern section of our own Thirty Bench vineyard, our Small Lot Cabernet Franc is farmed organically.
Fermented in open top wooden fermenters.
Aged fro 20 months in 90% French and 10% American oak.
Aromatic bouquet of forest floor, earth, tobacco leaf, vanilla, black pepper, red currant, baking spice and red cherry.
Medium to full-bodied and fruit forward palate shows notes of red currant and red berry, complemented by notes of spice and earth. The extra dry finish lingers with notes of tangy red fruits, red licorice, spice, leather, black tea and pomegranate.
Bright purple garnet colour.
Pair with grilled red meats, full-flavoured game meats, winter stews, and 2 to 3 year old Canadian cheddar.
