Viña Cobos is the inspired vision of Paul Hobbs, a pioneer who began exploring vineyard sites in Mendoza 30 years ago. All of Viña Cobos’ wines are crafted through meticulous work in the vineyards and winery, so that year-after-year the wines faithfully express the essence of each variety and terroir. The Bramare Appellation wines are sourced from premier vineyards in Luján de Cuyo and Valle de Uco, capturing the distinct characteristics of the two most prestigious growing regions in Mendoza. Luján de Cuyo These are lush, expressive wines with exquisite, ripe fruit and plush tannins.

Growing Conditions

Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza. Traditional and well-known wine-growing region in Mendoza. Situated in high elevation location, 3251 to 3467 feet elevation. Semi-desert climate.

Low-nutrient gravelly soils provide ideal conditions for producing high quality grapes.

Aging

Aging for 18 months in new French oak (25%) and new American oak (5%) in combination with second use oak (70%).

Bottling

Bottled in December 2016.

Nose

A powerful aromatic expression: black and red fruit like plum and blackberry, compliments the spicy notes, elegantly.

Palate

With good structure in mouth and round tannins, lead to a long and persistent finish.

Appearance

Deep and intense red with dark violet hues.
